Mike Tyson On Psychology :

I had this clip on my ipod while in high school. I listened to it hundreds of times.

I’d think about the next wrestling season with it as background, often doing so after lifting in the school weight room.

“I never take my eyes off my opponent. I keep my eyes on him, I keep my eyes on him. I keep my eyes on him.”

“Then I see a chink in his armor, Boom! when one of his eyes may move, then I know I have him.”

“He might fight hard for the first two or three rounds, but he’s already lost his spirit.”

View yourself as the greatest, while keeping that healthy level of fear.

Tell yourself that you’re a beast, an animal when you train. You’ll put in more effort for it.

Interestingly enough Mike Tyson and Jack Dempsey both fought in fear, and were the most feared fighters of their respective eras.

“Survival Mode”

Listen to the clip, there’s much to be gleaned from it.
